In 2016, the Fortnite events site was set up in the San Francisco Bay Area, but as it’s a relatively new franchise, the developers are focusing on a new location in the United States.
It’s expected to be the first of its kind for the series.
Fortnite has announced it will hold a big-name Main Event in the US in May, with the main event featuring a $1 million grand prize.
As of today, the tournament is set to take place at the Fort Nite Expo, and the games main event will feature a $100,000 prize pool.
It’ll also feature a slew of additional prizes, including the ability to play as a new character for $250,000.
The main event has been on the books since 2014, but it’s been a slow burn, with only a handful of major events in 2017 and a handful in 2018.
The Fortnites biggest events so far were its Summer Brawl, which featured top Fortnits players, and its Summer Classic, which saw the biggest Fortnitorations of the franchise.
The new events will be hosted at the San Mateo Convention Center in Oakland, California, the site of the upcoming San Francisco 49ers game against the Arizona Cardinals.
According to the FortNite website, there will be “no barriers to entry or ticketing.”
There are currently six main event slots available to enter, and there are three more slots to fill.
