A few days before the big reveal, Google’s new FFXIV event team is trying to make sense of what we all thought we knew about the game.
Its time to figure out what the world is waiting for, according to FFXIII producer Alex Tabarrok, and that includes “what events are happening right now, how many are happening, what kinds of events are on the calendar.”
Tabarrok also wants to make sure everyone is on the same page, because, according the FFXI timeline, events will likely change every other week.
“It’s kind of like when you buy an iPad,” Tabarrock told GamesBeat, “you can’t have the same iPad with two different calendars.”
While there are a few events on the way, Tabarroks team also wants people to keep an eye on the upcoming MMO, which is currently in a beta phase.
“We want people to see what we’re up to in the beta, and how much it’s changing,” he said.
“When we do launch, we want to have something ready to go.”
In the meantime, if you’re curious about the world of FFX, you can keep track by reading the full article at GamesBeat.
The official announcement is slated for February 6, but Tabarrocks team is already trying to track down all the events in a single spreadsheet.
