The “The Walking Bad” series is doing so well in the US, where it is a hit and has been hailed as the best-selling comic book of all time, that British fans of the series have become convinced that its creator Neil Gaim and his creative team are masters of their craft.
“We’ve been really, really lucky to have Neil Gaimon on board as the co-creator,” says Gaiman, whose next book, The Winds of Winter, is scheduled for a spring release.
“His writing style is so incredibly engaging, and it’s been amazing to see him in action, onscreen, on stage, on TV.
And I don’t want to be a bit vague about it.
He’s the most successful show ever in the world.”
And, of course, it is in this context that the “The WALKING DEAD” franchise has become so popular, and the comic book industry in particular, that it has spawned its own film, The WALKER.
The film is set to open on March 8, 2018, starring Joel Kinnaman as the titular character, and features a cast that includes Robert Kirkman (Marvel Comics) as Carlisle.
“The Walking DEAD” is set on the bleak world of Negan, a ruthless, murderous and ruthless zombie.
The series, based on Robert Kirkham’s comics, follows Carlisle as she becomes a member of the organization known as the Walkers, and struggles to protect the people she loves.
The film will star Maggie Q as Carlene, Michael Caine as Negan and Emily Bett Rickards as Neimoidle.
“It’s really important that the audience gets to experience Carlisle,” says Kirkman.
“She’s not only one of the best characters in the series, but also one of its best.
She’s a person who is driven and has her own issues and she’s a fighter, and she takes her life very seriously.”
Kirkman and Gaim say they have taken the show in new directions.
“We are very much exploring a world that’s more like the world of The Walking Dead,” says Kaimer.
“Carlisle is very much the protagonist of this story, and that world is the world that we’re trying to explore.”
The film, which is set in a parallel reality where Carlisle is a walking dead, is a departure from the comics.
“The film is a continuation of the world we created,” says executive producer/writer Jonathan Liebesman.
That world, which has been dubbed the ‘Neganverse,’ has been explored in “The Watchers on the Wall,” “The Broken Circle,” “Deadwood,” “Gotham,” “Fear the Walking Dead” and other projects.
In “The Dark Tower,” the universe is created as a series of parallel realities, where the main characters, the Gunslinger, are living in a separate world that is being rebuilt after the apocalypse.
“This is a new world, where Carlis has gone back in time, and he’s in a world where he’s the only survivor,” says Liebesmans co-writer J. Michael Straczynski.
“And we’re going to see her try to find her way back.”
Liebesman and Straczes are excited to share their plans for “The Dead,” which is the next film in the franchise, which will be shot in London.
“In ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ we set the tone for a very different world,” says Straczis.
“It’s very much in the vein of the Neganverse, but it’s not quite as dark.”
Gaim says that his goal for the “WALKING BAD” franchise is to create a world in which characters live for a longer period of time.
“I want to make it as realistic as possible,” he says.
“My hope is that it’s very easy for people to imagine this world, but you don’t have to live in it, you can be as rich as you want to live it.”
It will be interesting to see how fans react to the film’s storyline.
While it may be too soon to tell how popular the movie will be, it has already proven to be an amazing success.
“This is the biggest hit that we’ve ever had,” says Kurtzman.
“If it’s going to take off, we’re all going to have to come to terms with it.
We’re going from one world to another.”
